FastScreen Privacy Policy
Effective date: 20 October 2026 · Publisher: EZV spol. s r.o. (Slovakia, EU)
FastScreen connects your iPad directly to a Mac using built-in macOS Screen Sharing. The app does not send your saved connections, passwords, remote desktop content or keyboard and pointer input to EZV. FastScreen has no EZV account, advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.
1. Saved Macs and preferences
FastScreen stores the Macs you save in its app storage on your iPad. A saved connection includes its name, hostname or IP address, port, Mac account username and connection preferences. Display selection, desktop positioning and app control preferences are also saved to restore your setup. These records are not sent to EZV.
Connection records and preferences remain until you delete them or remove the app's data. In Macs, use a saved Mac's menu and choose Delete to remove its connection record and saved password. Deleting a connection does not delete your Mac account or change data on the Mac.
2. Passwords
Your Mac password is used to authenticate directly with the Mac you choose. Saving a password is optional. If you enable Remember password, FastScreen stores it in Apple's Keychain with WhenUnlockedThisDeviceOnly protection and iCloud Keychain synchronization disabled. Passwords are not stored in the connection file or sent to EZV.
To remove a saved password, delete the saved Mac. You can also edit the connection, turn off Remember password on this iPad, enter the Mac password for that session and tap Connect. A password that is not saved is used for the connection without being persisted by FastScreen.
3. Local network and remote sessions
With local-network permission, FastScreen uses Bonjour to discover Screen Sharing services and resolve their addresses. You can also enter a Mac's address manually. You can change local-network permission in iPad Settings.
FastScreen receives screen pixels and display information from the selected Mac and sends your keyboard and pointer actions to that Mac to provide remote control. This traffic goes directly between your iPad and Mac over the network route you use. EZV operates no session relay and receives no copy of this traffic. FastScreen does not record your desktop, synchronize the clipboard or transfer files.
Mac-account authentication protects credentials during sign-in, but standard VNC desktop and input traffic is not encrypted by FastScreen. Use a trusted local network or your own trusted VPN. FastScreen does not create a VPN or encrypted tunnel.
4. Local diagnostics
FastScreen writes fixed technical session events to Apple's local system log to help diagnose connection behavior. Its protocol logger discards server-provided debug messages. These app diagnostic events do not include passwords, desktop pixels, typed text, host addresses or usernames. System-log retention is managed by iPadOS.
An explicitly enabled performance-profiling mode writes technical measurements such as timing, counters and display dimensions to a local performance.json file in app storage. Normal launches do not collect these profiling samples. The file is replaced by later profiling reports and is not automatically uploaded. Removing the app's data removes this local file. FastScreen includes no automatic crash-report or diagnostic-upload service.
5. Backups and deletion
FastScreen does not operate its own cloud storage or sync service. Connection records, preferences and local diagnostic files may be included in device backups managed by Apple or by you. Restoring a backup may restore those records. Backup retention and deletion are controlled through your backup provider or device settings.
Do not rely on uninstalling FastScreen to erase saved Keychain items. Delete saved Macs or disable password saving before uninstalling if you want to remove those passwords. EZV cannot retrieve or remotely delete records that remain only on your devices or in your backups.
6. Information you send for support
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments or diagnostics you choose to include. Review attachments before sending them and do not send passwords or sensitive desktop content. We use this information to answer your request and troubleshoot the issue, based on our legitimate interest in providing support, or your consent where required.
Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations or resolve disputes. You can request deletion by email. Support messages are handled through the email providers needed to deliver and store correspondence; service providers processing this information for us must protect it and may use it only to provide that service. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising or tracking.
7. Apple services and website links
Apple handles App Store transactions, device backups and any system diagnostics you choose to share with Apple under its own settings and privacy policy. FastScreen has no in-app purchase or subscription processing and does not receive your payment details.
Opening this policy or another web link makes a request from your browser to the website. Website hosting and font providers may receive ordinary request information, including your IP address, separately from FastScreen's app operation. External websites follow their own privacy policies.
